Lytle ISD Named as Finalist for HEB Award

Congratulations to Lytle ISD for their recent selection as a finalist for HEB's Excellence in Education award. There are many deserving districts across our state that are graduating exceptional and well-rounded students who will lead our state into the future. We should all be proud of Lytle ISD's efforts to achieve excellence, and thankful to HEB for the generous donations which make this award possible.

The Little Voice Project

In the wake of the Penn State scandal, it's important to realize child abuse is everybody's responsibility. In Texas, we all have a role to play in reporting child abuse and neglect. The Texas Young Lawyers Association has created the Little Voice project that aims to raise awareness of how to recognize child abuse.

Pass the Protect Our Kids Act

This bill will create a National Commission on Child Abuse and Neglect Deaths to study and evaluate federal, state, and private child welfare systems. The Act would develop a national strategy that would result in the reduction of deaths and the prevention of child abuse in the first place. Sign the petition to support here.
